Flash MX: Using Guide Layers

Very often I'll use outline display for the border graphic so I can see the actual edges of the stage.

Outline display is a helpful feature for previewing your graphics with only their outlines. This is often helpful for editing (and locating) onscreen graphics that have a 0% Alpha applied and are invisible on stage.

Below is an example of thse "stage aid" layer shown in outline display.

When you finish using the guide elements, turn off the layer's visibility so you don't view them. If you need to go back and use them, simply turn the layer's visibility back on.
